How to Get There
Santa Fe has its own airport, but many travelers fly into the Albuquerque Sunport and take the Sandia Shuttle to the Santa Fe plaza.
Once you’re in the Santa Fe Plaza area (where the venue is located), shops, galleries, and restaurants are very walkable and Uber-able. You won’t need a car unless you want to venture out of town!
What to Pack
The weekend dress code is as casual as our agenda!
For the ceremony & reception, we’re going for formal, but not black tie (some examples are shown on the left, in case it helps as you pack). We encourage you to have fun dressing up in a suit & tie, or a cocktail dress or party gown, but the most important part is that you’re here.
A few more details…
WEDDING DETAILS
We are so excited to see each and every one of you. And we are excited for you to meet our close friends and family. And we’re excited for you to get a mini-vacation. That means different things for different folks. Some of you are getting away on a couple’s weekend with kids and pets and yard work (responsibly) set aside. Some of you are marking a milestone, supporting a friend, witnessing a moment, and wouldn’t mind a moment to just reflect on life from a broad perspective. Some of you just love a party. And for some of you it’s a combination of the aforementioned, and a little something of your own in addition. We hope to enable all of it. And it is with that in mind that we offer this (admittedly rough) outline for the weekend.
Weekend Agenda
All locations below are on the premises of Hotel St. Francis on the Santa Fe Plaza
Where We’ll Be
The ceremony will be held on the outdoor patio of Hotel St. Francis, and the reception will extend across the patio and the indoor restaurant, ‘Wolf & Roadrunner’.
The Cardinal Suite mentioned on the agenda above is on the second floor of the hotel, and looks out over the patio.
Friday, June 20
Saturday, June 21
Sunday, June 22
Welcome with Wine (& other non-alliterative beverages)
5-7pm, Cardinal Suite
Check in to your room, drop your bags, do the thing you do when you mode-switch from travel to relax. Then come on by the Cardinal Suite in the Hotel St. Francis for a drink, and see who else is around. Stay for a while, or just for a moment (or not at all, if you’re not feeling it. Maybe send your spouse so you can grab an extra moment in the room.) This is a kid-friendly event and meant to be as much of a pause in your evening as you’d like. Mingle a bit and start seeing faces that you know, and meet some new ones.
Prenuptial Pastries (& other brunch items)
10am-noon, Cardinal Suite
Swing by and say ‘hello!’ Maybe you’re a night-owl and this will be your first coffee of the day. Maybe you’re an early bird, you’ve been up for hours and have all kinds of ideas to discuss and your partner is just not having it (not projecting here at all). Or, perhaps you’re a moderate who just likes pastries and people. Can’t wait to tell a story from the night before? Can’t wait to hear a story from the night before, or from the bride’s childhood? Well, pop in for any or all of it! Bring your kids (if they’re even out of bed), but beware what they might learn about the previous generations, and humanity, and comedy.
The Main Event
6pm in the courtyard of the Hotel St. Francis
You have the details. The ceremony will be in the courtyard, the reception will expand into the Wolf & Roadrunner restaurant (adjacent to the courtyard). There will be music, and dancing is encouraged, so make sure to pack those shoes - you know, the ones that keep you out on the floor.
Casual Coffee (‘cause it’s in the lobby)
First Light until 11-ish, Hotel St. Francis Lobby
