The first time we technically met was on a Zoom call in early 2022. Jesse was sitting in the Midland, TX airport, and Ashton was at home in New Orleans, hoping to get the stamp of approval to join Jesse and his boss Peter on their team at a small space startup.

The first time we actually met was after Ashton got the job, and picked up Jesse from the airport in New Orleans. We drove to the north shore to have our first in-person team meeting, sailed on Peter’s boat, and enjoyed a pretty delicious key lime pie.

From there… Ashton joined the company, was hit by an untimely layoff, and was gone as quickly as she had joined! Fortunately, Jesse asked to keep in touch. He then booked Ashton’s calendar with invitations to talk every day, until one day she took a roadtrip from New Orleans to Colorado, where she still is today.

Three years later, we're best friends, true loves, great co-travelers, business partners, and teammates in life. And now, we can’t wait to add ‘esposa y esposo’ to that list with friends and family by our side!
